Have you ever been concerned with knowing God's plan for your life? In what way?

In Ephesians 5:15-17 Paul cautions us to "not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

What would you say God's will (intent or plan) for the world is?
What insight do these scriptures give you into God's plan?

1 Samuel 17:45-47
John 12:27-28

"Glory" is defined as "worshipful praise, honor, thanksgiving, a position of exalted and widely recognized importance."

Read John 17:3&4. Who is to get the glory? Why? How?
What is the hardest thing about doing God's will?

How does God bring about God's will? Look at the experience of these people to see how God's plan was focused for the world to see.

Luke 22:41-45. What was Jesus experiencing? How was God glorified through it?
2 Corinthians 11:23-12:10. What was Paul experiencing? How was God glorified through it?
It's in our trials and weaknesses that God is made to look strong. What are you experiencing? How can God be glorified in your situation?
Where in your life can God's plan be most focused for the world to see?

How can you and your group more fully live out the will of God this week? Close your time in prayer for each other to be empowered to do that.
